Independent, unbiased, and fully aligned with the client’s best interests.

At the heart of CMM Wealth Management is a clear principle: valuable financial advice that’s impartial, transparent, and built around each client’s needs.
Each individual, family, and business faces unique financial circumstances and goals. That’s why CMM Wealth Management provides tailored advice with no ties to any investment provider, platform, or product. A Chartered Commitment to Professionalism and Ethics

As a Chartered Financial Planner, Catherine Makin holds the highest level of professional recognition awarded by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII). This prestigious status is more than a title – it represents a deep commitment to professional excellence, integrity, and placing clients at the centre of every decision. Chartered status signifies adherence to the CII Code of Ethics, a framework that upholds the highest standards of ethical conduct across five core principles: compliance, integrity, client focus, service quality, and fairness.

Putting Your Interests First
At the heart of their approach, Chartered Financial Planners act in the best interests of each client. Advice is grounded in a clear understanding of individual needs, priorities, and circumstances. Transparency and honesty guide every interaction, with a strict avoidance of conflicts of interest that could compromise a client’s financial wellbeing.

Investing in Expertise
Chartered status reflects an ongoing commitment to continuous professional development. By keeping technical knowledge and skills current and relevant, Chartered Financial Planners are equipped to provide informed, forward-thinking advice that evolves with each client’s needs and the financial landscape.

Upholding Integrity
Integrity is central to the Chartered approach. These professionals operate with honesty, trustworthiness, and respect, never taking unfair advantage of clients or third parties. Ethical behaviour is embedded in both their professional conduct and personal values, ensuring clients receive advice they can trust.

Promoting a Fair and Inclusive Profession
Chartered Financial Planners are committed to fairness and equality, treating everyone with respect regardless of background. They actively support and contribute to initiatives that promote diversity and inclusion within financial services.

Supporting Society and the Profession
Beyond client service, Chartered professionals contribute to broader efforts that benefit society and strengthen the financial planning profession. This includes advocating for financial literacy and participating in initiatives that uphold public trust in ethical finance.

By choosing a Chartered Financial Planner, clients engage with a professional who is not only regulated but guided by a deeply held ethical code—one that places the client’s interests, and the broader good, at the core of everything they do.
